Merry Christmas from JPL

ree

We thought it would be good to end the year with some positive news; after a really tough period over the last few years where it seemed that the vintage car market; sales, restoration and conservation  was becoming worryingly quiet, things do seem to have turned a corner and we’re definitely feeling the optimistic energy flowing back in through our workshop doors once again.

The RAC award-winning Bentley that we restored has now completed its whole journey with us, and we are delighted to say that we have assited the owners to find a wonderful new custodian for the car. We look forward to seeing the Boat-Tail Bentley continuing to turn heads as it travels off towards its new life.

So, as you can see, we’ve taken our first steps into vehicle sales with the listing of the Bentley and a few other wonderful motorcars this year – we will continue to offer exceptional cars knowing that very good prices can be achieved where excellence is evident. The outstandingly original 1901 Darracq that we currently have listed is already creating a buzz, and rightly so.

Julian has started to photograph and list his veteran and vintage automobilia collection onto the website too; he is a well-known face at Beaulieu, but now his superb assortment of parts and collectables is available to buy online, and in the past six months we have seen mirrors, horns, carburettors, speedos and such heading off in boxes all over the world.

Back in the workshop we are delighted to announce that we have taken on new staff and their additional skills and enthusiasm are helping to ensure that we can keep apace with the diversity of work that we are being sought after to handle; it has been a great joy and privilege to have been asked to assist on projects for some of the nation’s leading Rolls Royce, Bentley and Porsche experts, as well as careful conservation work to preserve a Victorian hand-pulled Funeral Bier for a local traditional undertakers. We have the task of undertaking detailed coachworks for a celebrated vintage Ferrari, and all manner of other fabulous projects are lining up for 2026.

So, we should like to thank you wholeheartedly for your interest in Julian Parker Ltd throughout this past year, it feels like a good opportunity to take notice of the progress that we have made as a small firm, as well as noting the welcome return to, what hopefully is, a more optimistic outlook for the wider vintage car world.

Wishing you all a restful break and a great start to 2026.
